Automated Surface Preparation for the Tire Industry.

Cold Jet‘s ASP-T was developed for the automated cleaning of tire moulds – inside and outside the press – using dry ice particles ranging in size from 3 mm to 0.3 mm. The system can be easily integrated into existing processes, which saves up to 70% of the cleaning time when compared to conventional cleaning methods.

The process parameters can be adjusted to fit the selected cleaning program according to the requirements of the winter or summer tire moulds, with or without spring vents. The dry ice particle size can be adjusted variably from 3 mm to 0.3 mm using Cold Jet’s patented Particle Control System™ (PCS) to optimise cleaning for all types of moulds (Segmented, Two piece, Puzzle). The dry ice can be adjusted to more effectively clean surfaces depending on the complexity of the side walls and tread in combination with the curing cycles.
